Had to take a break from March madness no not the NCAA but my schedule of work school work. What better place to do this than at the "Anti- Art School Detroit". Our guest model was Hayley Jane " the living doll" a young lady of oh so many talents. After she told me she makes her own costumes I just had to sketch it and take a break from obsessing over her face. Ran into some CCS family and also met Natalie Jane Estep a recent fine arts grad of CCS who was having her solo show on the same night. The lovely Lushes LaMoan as always keeps her art monkeys entertained with her quick wit and humor but, did you know she is also a walking artcyclopedia.

Drawing in public
My recent sketches are from the the DIA drawing in the galleries on Friday's. I also did a quick sketch of a wooden fish at the Ardmore Cafe while I enjoyed a cup of coffee. The more I draw in public the more I realize how strange people can be either they are totally curious as if you were performing some kind of magic act or they completely talk right over you and ignore you.

Boy I'm early for class Today
So I somehow missed the part about not having class today oh well-I scanned away February's Dr. Sketchy, Art Therapy class and Red Dragon characters. Sketchy model had a cool Clock Work Orange vibe going and Ms. Lushes LaMoan also sat for a quick pose. Art Therapy what can I say but, "any resemblance to real persons living or dead, is purely coincidental". I watched Red Dragon again its just on all the time and of course I watch it every time. Drawings of no chin Will, blind Reba and fleshy Freddy.

January's Sketchy
Drawing Dr. Sketchy models is always a treat and Twinkle Toes Megee was so much fun to draw yesterday. Ms. Lushes LaMoan also posed for everyone.
Doodling during Class
Art therapy class always brings out my weirdest sketches. We're encouraged to draw during class I made these sketches while watching a video from the 80's about the benefits of art therapy for seniors.
